Edit your terms and conditions

Your Terms & Conditions are the legal language attached to proposals, rental checkouts, and plant-care contracts. Florio ships starter terms for each line of business; this page is how you make them yours. Published terms are locked so a live document never changes under you: to edit, you clone a new draft, change it, and publish that.

Before you start

  • Florio ships starter documents for events, rentals, and plant care. The starter language is plain-English boilerplate, not legal advice; have your terms reviewed by counsel.
  • You need the permission to manage legal documents (the Admin / Owner role has it).

Edit and publish a new version

  1. Open Admin, then Terms & Conditions.
  2. Pick a document from the Documents column. Its badge shows the line of business: Events, Floral Orders, Plant Care, or Rentals.
  3. Click New draft (clone current). This copies the published version into an editable draft so the live terms stay untouched while you work.
  4. Edit each clause’s title and text in English and Spanish. Click Save draft as you go.
  5. To change the running order, drag a clause by the handle at its top left. The new order saves right away, so there is nothing extra to click.
  6. When it is ready, click Publish version. New proposals and checkouts pick up the new terms; anything already signed keeps the version it was signed under.

Use merge fields

Clauses can carry merge fields, tokens like the company or customer name that fill in per document. Open Available merge fields to see the full list and copy a token into a clause.

Good to know

  • A published version shows a read-only note; that is the safety rail. Always clone a New draft to change live terms.
  • Ordering follows the same rule, so a published document has no drag handles. To reorder live terms, clone a New draft, drag the clauses there, and publish it.
  • Each clause can be marked removable or editable, which controls whether it can be dropped or changed on an individual proposal.
