Offer good, better, best options

Some clients decide faster when they get to choose. Instead of one take-it-or-leave-it price, you can put a simpler option next to a fuller one on the same event and let the client pick. Florio holds each as its own proposal and shares them as a single page.

Before you start

  • Build the first proposal the usual way. See Build a proposal from sections and lines.
  • A clear ladder works best: a lean version, a middle version, and a showpiece. Two options is plenty; three is the most a client happily weighs.

Steps

  1. On the event’s Proposals tab, click New proposal.

The Proposals panel on an event with more than one proposal, each showing its price and margin Screenshot from a demo workspace; data illustrative.

  2. Choose how to start it:

    • Blank proposal for a fresh take.
    • Clone to copy an existing option, then trim or expand it. Cloning is the fast way to build a “better” from a “good.”
  3. Give each proposal a clear name (Garden, Signature, Grand) so the client can tell them apart, and price each one. Every proposal is checked against your margin on its own.

To name one, click its name on the card and type over it, or use Rename in the card’s actions menu. Save when you are done. A new proposal starts out called Proposal 1, Proposal 2 and so on, and a copy arrives as Proposal 1 (copy), so renaming is usually the first thing you do. You can rename right up until the client accepts, after which the name is fixed.

  4. When they are ready, click Share proposals and pick the options to include. The client gets one page with the choices side by side.

Good to know

  • Each option clears the gate on its own. A cheaper option still has to make your margin; Florio holds any that do not, so you never win the booking at a loss.
  • The client compares them. On the shared page the client can lay the options side by side before choosing; see What your clients see.
  • Accepting one closes the rest. When the client accepts an option, the others on that share are marked so nobody signs two by mistake.
  • Where this fits: Proposals.
